I thought there was no better way to start this blog than by introducing myself and sharing a little about why I created Make, Do & Trend.

I've always loved being creative. There's something incredibly satisfying about taking simple materials and turning them into something unique and meaningful. Whether it's crafting for fun, creating decorations, or helping others discover their own creativity, making things has always brought me joy. That's what inspired me to start Make, Do & Trend.

I wanted to create a business that brings people together through creativity and gives people of all ages the opportunity to try something new, learn new skills, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making something with their own hands.

Why Crafting Matters

Life can be busy, stressful, and sometimes overwhelming. Crafting offers a chance to slow down, switch off from everyday pressures, and focus on creating something just for yourself.

One of the things I love most about running workshops is seeing people arrive feeling unsure of their abilities and leave feeling proud of what they've achieved. Creativity isn't about being perfect, it's about having fun, trying something new and enjoying the process.

Whether you're five or ninety-five, there's something special about making something yourself.
